Symptoms of Bipolar Depression
Everyone gets sad every now and then, but sometimes the sadness turns into a blackness that cannot be ignored. When the sadness is uncontrollable and is taking over your life, you might be experiencing symptoms of bipolar depression.
Bipolar disorder is a mood disorder that is caused by an imbalance of chemicals in the brain. This imbalance causes us to have severe mood swings that last for days, weeks or even months. The two moods of bipolar disorder are mania and depression. During a manic phase, you feel inexplicably happy and like you are able to conquer the world. However, during the depressive stage of the cycle, you may feel as though you want to cease to exist.
If you think this might be you, take a look at these symptoms of bipolar disorder and check to see if you identify with more than half the list on a consistent basis. If you do, you may want to visit your doctor for a thorough examination.
